About

pic 2Hi, and welcome to tastyniblets.

My blog is now a year old, and even though I have been a neglectful carer at times, we are still good friends. In this time, I have connected with an amazing community of talented people, and have learnt that even though writing is hard work and requires great spadefuls of the one trait I lack the most – discipline –  when it can be done, writing is still the most fun to be had within the safety of your own head.

What you will find here are snippets of short fiction (mainly), occasional photography, and maybe (one day, if I win the battle of wills against netflix) something a bit more substantial..

Please feel free to explore, comment, and enjoy!

  1. Hello Az. It’s lovely to meet you and I’ll certainly look forward to reading more of your posts in future. It’s funny you should talk about not showing your children on your blog. I’ve rarely shown mine – who are all well grown up, by the way. (We had six,and the youngest is now 31.) Only two days ago another blogger asked me if I’d be happy to talk about bringing up children and providing a happy home and so on – and I thought I’d give it a go sometime next week. I know what you mean about displaying photos, though. I have one of my children on my About page from the mid-80s. Fortunately, they all look very different now! Have a great weekend. 🙂

    • Hi Millie, it was lovely of you to stop by! I really enjoyed your blog, and and am looking forward to reading more of your stories 🙂 And thankyou for the comment about my Facebook article – my children are only 3 and nearly 5 months, so I absolutely don’t feel comfortable parading them on Facebook at such an early age 🙂 You’ve got some lovely photos on your About page – I love the one of your parents on their wedding day – the look so happy!

      • They’re such old photos, now, but I still love them. Everyone laughs at the chubby little me, though. I’ll be hopping over to have a better look at the post you mention – I just caught bits of it before. I know there are other bloggers who share your concern about their children, so you aren’t alone in that. Thank you for getting back to me. 🙂

  4. Just to let you know that I’ve nominated you for The Creative Blogger Award. I would be delighted if you accept, but if you are unable to do so, that’s OK. The rules are on my post :

Hello Az. I’m not sure whether you already have this award, but I wanted you to know that I find your posts very creative.I know how pushed for time you are, so I nominated you for the award that
takes less time to do. All you do for this one is nominate other bloggers!
